PASSIVUS d.o.o. from Slovenia is a fresh start-up (March 2023) in the Built Environment Sector.
We have developed a concept of an innovative passive greenhouse with wooden construction, based on a patent – a wooden wall made of solid wooden semi-finished products with its basic structural element – a solid wooden slat, which represents an innovative approach to the production of a wooden wall, which is based on the utilization of wooden materials, semi-finished products.
The method of construction with the realization of a wooden wall made of layers of wooden slats with grooves, which are used entirety, including the longitudinal remnants. The elements are assembled like children’s Lego blocks. The passive greenhouse is easy to build, cost effective and can be combined with automation to achieve a controlled environment (have developed own automation system – existing prototype).

Fostering self-sufficient local food production through the whole year while having a negative carbon footprint in comparison to classic greenhouses built from aluminium alloy frames and polycarbonate sheets.
